How Sunglasses Should Fit
Bridge, temple, width, and cheek-clearance guidance for trying on frames. A good fit feels steady without pressure.
A good fit feels steady without pressure. The bridge supports the frame while the temples rest comfortably around the sides of your head. If the frame shifts every time you look down, compare a narrower bridge or a different nose-pad design.
Frame width is a useful starting point: compare the total width with a pair you already wear comfortably. Lens width, bridge width, and temple length describe different parts of the frame, so compare the whole set rather than chasing one ideal number.
Check cheek clearance when you smile and look around. A frame that touches your cheeks or eyelashes may feel fine for a minute and uncomfortable over a day. Our photo advisor estimates proportions; it cannot measure physical dimensions or replace a try-on.
